To relive the major episodes of the Second World War in the Hautes-Alpes, and understand how they impacted the lives of local people. Two interlocking exhibitions: "Les Hautes Alpes dans la Seconde Guerre mondiale", based on documents from the Archives Départementales, and "Tallard, Seconde Guerre mondiale: l'histoire par celles et ceux qui l'ont vécue", the fruit of the living memory collection carried out in spring 2025 to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. Numerous documents and period objects enhance the exhibition.
