About
The museum strives to preserve the memory of past conflicts, pay tribute to heroes and make future generations aware of the sacrifices made for peace.
Installed on the top floor of the "Maison du poilu", the Remembrance Museum was inaugurated on August 20, 1994 by the Secretary General of the Prefecture, P. Derumigny, Senator M. LESBOS, the Mayor of Gap, P. BERNARD-REYMOND, and the President of AMAC05 Ubaye, R. BERGAMIN. Over the 30 years of its existence, the museum has been constantly enriched by donations and the involvement of AMAC veterans. The museum brings together memorabilia donated solely by veterans, their families or individuals wishing to pass on our country's history to future generations.
