About
Accompanied by the Orchestre National Avignon-Provence and its forty musicians, Noëmi Waysfeld performs a delicate rendition of Barbara. An event not to be missed!
Dis, quand reviendras-tu, Ma plus belle histoire d'amour, Göttingen... we all have Barbara songs in our hearts and minds. This is also true of iconoclast Noëmi Waysfeld. A lover of classical music, Yiddish song and Fado, this time the singer takes us in the wake of the "long brown lady", one of her lifelong inspirations, with her blend of strength and vulnerability. "The vinyl Barbara chante Barbara was playing on a loop at home, among Schubert sonatinas and Siberian prisoner songs... Naturally I hummed it, naturally I started singing it. Her brokenness speaks to me, consoles me. Barbara knows how to sing everything in life." It was when composer Fabien Cali heard her warm up her voice on Mon Enfance before a concert that he had the idea of having her cover this repertoire in a version he had subtly orchestrated. Between Barbara's songs, Noëmi Waysfeld's spellbinding voice and the Orchestre National Avignon-Provence, conducted by Débora Waldman, a powerful artistic creation was born. On stage, it promises to be a "beautiful love story"!
