One seeks to emancipate herself from her bourgeois upbringing of the 20s, another seizes on her Muslim culture to assert her pride in being a woman, the third rebels against her mother's lifestyle choices. In this insurrection, their words are embodied, giving them the strength to stand up to their destiny.
