The ancient site of Mons Seleucus has revealed a series of sculptures, statuettes, oil lamps and Latin inscriptions that bear witness to the penetration/presence of Eastern cults (Cybele, Mithra, Isis) in the Western Alps. What were these cults? Why pray to gods from the East?
